Springtime is here! For baseball fans, that equates to the most exciting time of the year. Whether you’re adventuring to Wrigley Field, Yankee Stadium, Oriole Park, Dodger Stadium, Busch Stadium, Safeco Field, PNC Park, or my personal favorite- Fenway Park, there are some essential items to bring to ensure you and your kids have the most fun possible!
First off- it’s important to note for packing purposes that most MLB stadiums do not allow bags or purses larger than 16” x 16” x 8”. Look into the rules for your specific ballpark on their website. Make sure to check the weather before you go, so you can pack the necessary clothing items. If the forecast calls for rain, we recommend packing one of our awesome rain jackets. Our North Face Zipline Rain Jacket and our Hatley Prehistoric Dinos Rain Jacket are some great options to keep your youngsters feeling dry and warm. Bringing a small blanket with you on a chilly day isn’t a bad idea either. If it’s supposed to be a sunny day, a baseball cap is essential to be able to see all of the action on the field. Our RVCA Kids Trucker Hat and our Feather 4 Arrow Reef Trucker Hat will keep the sun out of their eyes and off of their face. Even with a hat, we always recommend wearing and packing some extra sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30.
Since we all know that baseball can sometimes be a “slow” game, it’s a great idea to bring some coloring books for your kids to keep them entertained between innings. And don’t forget to bring a baseball glove- you could always catch a foul ball or even snag a home run!
Having your kiddos look and feel like they are a part of the game all starts with their wardrobe and a game jersey is a great start. Our Munster Kids' Staple t-shirt will have them styling! And our Converse All Star Mesh Shorts will have them feeling super trendy. It’s also important to have comfortable footwear when attending a sporting event. Our Veja Esplar Kids Sneakers and our Old Sole Sporty Stripe Sneakers will make any kid look and feel their best! If you’re bringing along a child who is 24 months or younger, Mini Ruby has them covered for a baseball game as well. Our Miles Baby Sandlot Romper, Sandlot Shorts and Batter Baby Boy T-shirt are an adorable addition to any blossoming baseball fan’s wardrobe. So, grab yourself some peanuts and Cracker Jacks and let’s play ball!
