Kids Clothes - Denim Spotlight

If you were to take a peek into anyone’s closet, you would be sure to find at least one pair of jeans. Whether they are a classic “blue jean” or another facet of the versatile denim fabric, jeans have certainly become a staple in our wardrobes and have continued to evolve throughout the past few centuries. The beloved blue jean was first patented in 1873 by Jacob W. Davis and Levi Strauss but has been around for much longer. Jeans were originally designed for workers such as miners, as they needed pants with a tough and sturdy exterior that wouldn’t rip due to the nature of the job. They were then made popular in the 1950’s as casual wear when Hollywood stars started to sport them around town and in popular films.

Fast forward to the 21st century and you will see jeans everywhere you go. Everyone from babies and up can be seen sporting a pair of jeans. Jeans are a great option for kids and teens as well, as they can elevate any outfit. Some of our favorite brands of jeans are Joe’s Jeans, DL1961, and AG Jeans. We love that Joe’s Jeans offers denim that has an emphasis on the perfect fit for every body type. A few of our personal favorites are the Lola Wide Leg Jean, the Charlie Pink Girls Jean and the Splatter Crop Jean. These styles are adorable, versatile and can add such fun style to any outfit.

DL1961 is a great brand as their products are designed to move freely while never changing the integrity of the pant. You never have to worry about the fabric sagging or losing its shape as you go about your day. A few of our favorite girl's styles from DL1961 include the Lily High-Rise Wide Leg Pant, the Lara Jogger and the Chloe Jean. Whether you are looking for a classic skinny jean or want to try something a little different, DL1961 has our girls covered. For the boys, there are so many cool styles as well. We love the Brady Jeans, the Hawke Jeans and the William Jeans.

Another fun aspect of denim is that it has been made into different articles of clothing and is not just used for pants. There are skirts, jackets, dresses, and overalls that are all made using the durable fabric. Jeans can also be dyed any color so you can really use them to play up any look. There is no doubt that jeans will continue to live at the top of our pants drawer for a very long time to come.
